About The Forum
Knowledge is considered to be possibly the only sustainable competitive advantage for any individuals or organizations. The cycle of knowledge explains that, data and information which are associated with the forms of knowing that are specific and limited are the fundamentals of knowledge. Knowledge is its integrates reasoning, values and insights that would develop into wisdom and intelligence. The main idea of this initiative is to find out the reality of knowledge management practice, by putting academic theory into test in the real world.
Forum Objectives
Two-pronged objectives and approches:
- To find out from the practitioners their views on knowledge and also the means in managing knowledge in their organisations. In addition, to find out whether there is any specific process or system that can ensure the success of knowledge sharing practice;
- To find out from the practitioners whether knowledge management initiatives are practical in the real situation. Also to understand the speakers’ opinion on the actual benefits (either direct or indirect) of knowledge management initiatives to their organisations, e.g. return of investments (ROI).
